The New Milford Public Library on Main Street will offer a variety of programs in the coming weeks.

They will include the last part of a three-part series about sewing with former fashion teacher Nikki Phillips Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.; Pirate Day for families Nov. 7 at 2 p.m.; a screening of "The Band's Visit" Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.; a discussion with April Dawn Winsley about her book "Where Are you Going?" Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.; a free family concert to honor Veterans Day Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.; "Planning to Avoid a Long Term Care Crisis," a seminar, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.; a screening of "Bell, Book, and Candle" Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.; a screening of "Christmas In Connecticut" Dec. 22 at 6 p.m.; a Teen Book Club for youths aged 11 to 18 the fourth Wednesday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m.; and Young Adult Council for students in sixth through ninth grades Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 10, April 14, May 12 and June 9 at 6:30 p.m.
