The New Milford scale model solar system will be the focus of the next Second Saturday Stars program held at the John J. McCarthy Observatory in New Milford Nov. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m.

The observatory team designed and built the six-mile true-scale solar system for the town in 2009 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Galileo starting modern astronomy with a telescope of his own design.

The program will be held at the observatory behind New Milford High School on Route 7 South.
