The Naromi and New Fairfield land trusts will co-sponsor a four-mile hike June 5 as part of Trails Day.

A rain date of June 6 is planned.

The hike will follow the Herrick Trail, which has a connector to the Appalachian Trail, on the north end of Sherman for about one mile, head along the Appalachian Trail to Ten Mile River, cross the river and end eventually end at the covered Bridge at Bulls Bridge in South Kent.

Interested people may participate in part or all of the hike.

Carpooling and shuttle rides back to vehicles in Sherman will be available.

Hikers are asked to meet at the trailhead on Evans Hill Road at 9 a.m.
