The Kent Memorial Library has announced its upcoming events.

A book discussion series focusing on narratives that explore the achievements of the U.S. during and after World War II is underway.

The group will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Main Street library.

Topics will include "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" by Jamie Ford Nov. 11 and "American Rust" by Philipp Meyer on Dec. 9.

A reception with Richard Stalter of Gaylordsville, whose work is on display at the library through Dec. 31, will be held Nov. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m.
