The Hickory Stick Bookshop in Washington has announced its upcoming programs.

William Bingham will read and sign copies of his book, “The Lesson in Chicken Soup for the Soul Teacher Tales,” April 18 at 2 p.m.

Book signings, all at 2 p.m., will be held April 17 with Scott R. Singer, author of “How to Hit a Curve Ball,”May 15 with Marie Bostwick, author of “Thread So Thin,” May 22 with Susanna Salk, author of “Room for Children,” May 29 with Annie Kelley and Tim Street Porters, co-authors of “Rooms to Inspire in the City.’

In addition, Candace Bushnell will sign copies of her book, “Carrie Diaries,” May 15 at 4 p.m.
