Critic and historian John DiLeo will trace changes in Hollywood and American culture from the 1930s to the 1970s at the Danbury Palace.
DiLeo has a new book, “Ten Movies at a Time,” (Hansen) about Hollywood trends over the past 80 years.
The author will be doing an audio-visual presentation based on his book, along with a question-and-answer session moderated by Hearst writer Joe Meyers. The event is co-sponsored by the Hearst Movie & A Martini series.
DiLeo will analyze the careers of several major film stars in the course of his presentation, from Bette Davis in the 1930s, through Steve McQueen in the 1960s.
