The Warren Market on Route 45 in the Warren village center has closed after a little more than a year in business.
Owner Maureen Jones said July 5 it was a "a culmination of things related to the economy" leading her and her husband, Clifford, to close the store in May.
The couples opened the market in January 2010 with a plan to "stay small and green."
Mrs. Jones said Tuesday their primary business, The Rooster Tail Inn in Warren, located just across the street, is "doing wonderfully."
Union Savings Bank, which has branches in the Greater New Milford area, has opened a full-service branch at 411 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe.
Edward Jones, which has an office in New Milford, has announced its Advisory Solutions asset allocation program has attracted $40 billion since its introduction two years ago.
Taco Bell customers in New Milford will be asked to donate $1, $3 of $5 to the Jimmy Fund's "Strike out Cancer" campaign through Aug. 3.
In return, customers will receive a baseball pin-up on which they can write their name.
The pin-ups will be displayed in stores, including at the 177 Danbury Road (Route 7) store.
