Beth Bonnabeau received a BA in theater and spent several years as part of the Harold Clurman Theatre in New York City before discovering her true passion -- children's theater.

She began teaching and directing young performers in the early 1990s.

Starting in 2004, she developed and grew over a nine-year period the TheatreWorks Kids program in New Milford.

She has taught theater at schools and studios in the region and has directed numerous musicals and created musical revues.

"I've always loved kids and theater," Bonnabeau said.

She dreamed of being an actor and a mom, and pursued professional acting off-Broadway. After having children, she wanted to find jobs that allowed her to be with her children while working.

She first started teaching children's theater at the former Center for Dance, Drama and Song in Bedford Hills, N.Y.

It was there the "light bulb" went on, as her love of theater and children was forged.
